Janet Lee is a Director and Project Manager at Synapse Development Group. She leads the firm’s San Francisco office and also serves as Project Manager for 1095 Market Street, Synapse’s adaptive re-use project in the Mid-Market neighborhood of San Francisco, overseeing all aspects of the development.
Prior to joining Synapse, Janet worked at Hines, a privately owned international real estate firm, where she focused on both acquisitions and development/project management. Prior to her role at Hines, Janet was part of the Real Estate Investment Group at Goldman Sachs, where she helped build the group from its early stages and gained experience in everything from fundraising, to deal sourcing and execution, to portfolio and asset management. She first began her career in real estate at Clarion Partners (formally ING Clarion) in New York, where her primary responsibilities included executing on acquisitions for the firm’s various capital sources.
Janet earned a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics and management from Cornell University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She also holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
